The Draft Master Plan 2019 for Hougang focuses on revitalizing the established town with new housing, improved connectivity, and expanded green spaces to ensure it remains liveable and self-sufficient.
Key highlights of the plan include:
• Improved Transport Connectivity: The introduction of the Cross Island Line (CRL) will significantly shorten commute times. Hougang will host an interchange station (connecting with the North-East Line) and a new station at Defu.
